So you've taken the plunge. You've spent the money on the new version of DOpus,
and, obviously, this add-on CD. But you keep retreating back to DOpus 4 because
it's familiar, it's easy to set up, you like the way it does things. That's all
very well, but how are we going to convince you that DOpus 5 isn't really just
the next version of DOpus, but a whole new program with features that you
couldn't imagine DOpus 4 having?
This part of the tutorial will introduce you to the concepts involved in Directory
Opus 5 and, since it's best used that way, will concentrate on completely
removing the "separate-screen-separate-program" aspect of DOpus to give you the
best possible Workbench through DOpus.
Also, throughout this section and the other sections in the tutorial, bear in
mind that you might be able to click your right mouse button to pop up a menu,
or drag and drop something to somewhere else in order to get what you want.
Don't be afraid of trying these things, most of the time they'll work as you'd
expect, if not at most you'll only get a beep, but nothing will be harmed.
| If your lister is in icon or icon action mode, by default, double clicking on a directory will open a new lister. If you hold down the left ALT key while you double click, the parent lister will close as the new one opens.
